Compelled by her affection for the scriptures and her desire to be an effective learner in order to be an effective teacher, Bethany works hard counseling women, developing curriculum, and planning alongside Bridgetown’s pastoral team. A southern belle by birth, Bethany moved to the Pacific Northwest in 2007. She earned a Master of Arts in Specialized Ministry with a focus in Pastoral Care to Women from Western Seminary in 2011.

"Hygge" (pronounced Hyoo-Guh) is a concept derived from Danish culture dating back generations. It is comprised of several major tenets including hospitality, atmosphere, well-being, and comfort (just to name a few). Independently, Hygge is not a "religious" or "Biblical" concept, but it prompts the question: can Hygge be implemented in a Biblical way? Can a concept like Hygge be set apart, or "made Holy." Author and speaker Jamie Erickson would argue, YES!
