A game changer for aerial firefighting is being developed by a New Zealand company.
Artificial intelligence developed by aviation tech company SkyBase would allow pilots to guide the plane from the ground to tackle dangerous bush fires.
SkyBase CEO Michael Read says it would enable planes to fly at night and in poor visibility.
Michael Read also says it unlocks possibilities to fly at times and in places that wouldn't be possible if a pilot was on board.
