A fire has broken out on Duchess Road at the Mount Isa Metal Recycler's this morning causing a huge amount of smoke over virtually all of Mount Isa.

Rescue crews have been there since early hours this morning to contain the blaze and seem to have all under control but are warning residents to avoid the area.
