Host Paul Halfacre opens up the new year with a visit from Highland Shootout organizer Matt Powers to talk about the upcoming 39th Annual Highland Shootout.

The two share their thoughts on the upcoming basketball showcase as well as what goes into putting together one of the top high school basketball showcases in the Midwest. They also look back on some of their favorite memories as well as a tease to next year's showcase. 

Paul talks about a fun-filled week that saw a lot of local teams crown tournament champions to wrap up the 2023 calendar year before looking ahead to the second half of the winter season.
