Going on an adventure is exciting
We come home with stories to tell
About all the cool stuff we did
Amazing places we got to see
My guest is Luke Richmond and he’a living-breathing outdoor adventurer
Now we’re not talking about cute little hikes up the hill
Luke has climbed some of the most dangerous summits in the world
Crossing through crevasses in the ice where there’s completely nothing below
Getting saved by the skin of their teeth from a vengeful group of tribesmen in the Pacific
Rowed across the Atlantic for 70 days
Braved sandstorms through the Gobi Desert
The kind of passion that puts one’s life on the line
But these expeditions he puts himself into are more than meets the eye
These are life lessons
A test of one’s self
A gamble of life and death
When we’re alone out in the wild
We make no different from a deer caught in a snowstorm
Mother nature uncovers for us everything else that we’ve never seen
From the beauty of our surroundings to the demons inside of us
The situation forces ourselves to recognize what really matters in life and what doesn’t
I’ve always wanted to have an adventurer to come to my podcast because there’s just so much to learn from them
I’m always happy to live vicariously through their stories
And this episode is definitely all of that
So carry on and I’ll see you in the episode.
Cheers.
