May 12th is not only the final day of National Nurses’ Week, but also the 200th birthday of Florence Nightingale. We hear from Pam Cipriano, Dean of the UVA School of Nursing and immediate past president of the American Nurses Association, about how today’s nurses are carrying on the legacy of the Lady with the Lamp and what we can all do to honor these modern day heroes.
