On Wednesday May 20, 2026, HER WAY Sports Media was invited along to a Minerva Network function for the launch of a new play ‘Strong Is The New Pretty’, which uses women’s sport as the backdrop for a story about gender equality, resilience and the perseverance of Australian women in what is traditionally a man’s world.

The first chat you’ll hear is with the play’s author, Suzie Miller, who also shares about her friendship with the play’s inspiration, Governor-General Sam Mostyn.

Minerva Network are the Impact Partner for the production, which will premiere at the Brisbane Festival in September, and you’ll also hear a conversation with two of the network’s athletes - ironwoman and women’s health advocate Lizzie Welborn, plus Giants netballer Matisse Letherbarrow.
