New Zealand First's leader's claiming National's been spooked and will tighten immigration rules for Indian citizens as part of the India trade deal.
The FTA was before Parliament today and Winston Peters alleged National wants to discriminate against Indian migrants by imposing extra tests and criteria on them.
He says they're not applied to migrants from other countries that have FTAs with New Zealand.
Peters says National's gone from promoting mass migration to stricter rules - and they've been stung by the polls and done a complete flip without telling anybody.
Trade Minister Todd McClay says NZ First is wrong.
