The Deputy Prime Minister has muddied the waters around the conditional Government support of ACT's Treaty Principles Bill.
Answering on behalf of the Prime Minister in the House, Winston Peters seemed to suggest he was open to changing his mind after the first reading.
Peters clarified he would not be supporting the Bill.
"We voted to have a first reading, and therefore - we will not be supporting it from the second reading."
