Final results indicate that barely half the teenagers who tried to pass the critical NCEA literacy and numeracy benchmark via online tests this year have succeeded.
Only 55% of students have passed the compulsory numeracy NCEA entrance test.
66% of students passed the writing test and 70% passed the reading test.
