Donald Trump is claiming fresh talks with Iran will begin in coming hours, after calling off strikes against the country.

The US President threatened over the weekend to carry out the biggest attack 'since World War Two'.

Greek police say a man has admitted killing a Scottish woman whose body was found in a suitcase in an abandoned building.

The 38-year-old was found in Athens days after she was reported missing.

Local officers launched an investigation with cooperation from authorities in the US, the UK and Scotland, and now say they have arrested a 26-year-old man linked to the case.

UK correspondent Gavin Grey says it's believed the suspect was from Afghanistan - and the victim volunteered at an organisation to help migrants.

The Government has approved an extension of some shellfish harvesting bans in parts of the Hauraki Gulf, at the request of three iwi.

Until August 2028,  Umupuia Beach on Auckland's Pohutukawa Coast, is closed to the taking of cockles,  while Te Mātā and Waipatukahu on the Thames coast is closed to the taking of cockles, mussels, oysters, and pipi.

The taking of mussels, pāua, and packhorse rock lobster will be banned on Waiheke Island. 

Oceans and Fisheries Minister Shane Jones says there's big issues at stake related to this, and bigger challenges impacting the Hauraki area.
