Sarah Fitt has resigned as the Pharmac chief executive after seven years.

Last year a “short and sharp” review was undertaken into Pharmac’s internal staff culture and relationships with patient groups, Chair Paula Bennet announced at the time.

Fitt recently faced criticism for these issues.
