Meridian Energy has made a comeback after last year's downturn.
The electricity gentailer has reported net profit after tax of $13 million dollars, compared to a net loss of $452 million last year.
The past year has been a stark contrast to the previous year, when Meridian was dealing with two severe droughts, and investing $300 million dollars into helping secure energy supply.
CEO Mike Roan says 2024 was a challenging year - and 2025 represents a return to 'normal'.
