Patients in Auckland City Hospital's main building are without hot water.

An issue with pipes emerged yesterday afternoon - and will take up to three days to fix. 

Te Whatu Ora says it has contingency plans ensuring clinical care continues.  

Patient Voice Aotearoa Chair Malcolm Mulholland says the maternity ward's in that building. 

"They're going to have to be transported away from the maternity ward to another part of Auckland Hospital in order to have a shower - that's certainly not ideal for mothers who have just given birth."

Netball New Zealand has reappointed Dame Noeline Taurua as Silver Ferns head coach until the end of next year's Netball World Cup in Sydney.

Dame Noeline guided the Silver Ferns to Commonwealth Games gold last month, and she's looking forward to helping the team move forward and improve.

The reappointment comes in the wake of the New Zealand side winning Commonwealth Games gold in Glasgow last month - less than a year after she was stood down from the role and then reinstated.

The 2027 World Cup begins in August in Sydney, and Taurua's feeling hopeful as training gets under way.

"The Commonwealth Games is such a treat, a dream, and I'm heading to the Netball World Cup now for next year and I'm riding the wave."
