Daily Bread's Point Chevalier branch in Auckland has faced backlash after members of the public spotted poisoned birds outside the establishment.
Smash'd Em Pest Control Manager, Jonathan Simes, says it's a necessary move to prevent the spread of germs and disease.
"We need to weigh up the pros and cons on whether we want germs and disease from the droppings in our food, or around us as we eat- or a clean environment."
