A 40-year old woman in the UK has undergone the region's first successful womb transplant.
The woman donated her uterus to her younger sister, who plans to undergo IVF later this year.
UK correspondent Gavin Grey says the procedure comes with several risks, but hundreds of women have contacted Oxford Transplant Centre about receiving similar procedures.
