Winston Peters is defending his comments, which coalition partners Chris Luxon and David Seymour have labelled 'attention-seeking'.
The New Zealand First leader yesterday responded to Chinese-born Green MP Lawrence Xu-Nan heckling over vaccinations, by telling him to go back to his own country.
Luxon says Peters has a long track record of inappropriate comments designed to get people talking about him.
Newstalk ZB reporter Azaria Howell says Labour has also condemned Peters' comments and called for his resignation.
