"My ex-wife and I divorced last year. We share joint custody of our 10-year-old daughter. I pay full child support on a monthly basis. My ex-wife is required to talk to me about any expenses that are ‘above and beyond’ normal support. Over the weekend, my ex sent me a bill for $229. She told me she got our 10-year-old a makeover for the new school year. The bill was for a manicure, a pedicure, a haircut and a photo session at the salon. My 10-year-old didn't seem overly enthused about getting the makeover next weekend. The bill certainly is ‘above and beyond’ normal support. I think the makeover is more for my ex-wife than it is for my daughter. I'm not sure what to do? Should I buy the makeover? Do 10 year-olds need makeovers? I definitely don't want to disappoint my daughter. Should I just eat it and do it? My family says if my ex wants the makeover so bad she should pay for it"
