When God called Jonah to go to Nineveh, Jonah went in the opposite direction. He got on a boat and tried to run from the God who created the ocean. And while Jonah's story is full of humor, it also reveals something important about God's character.

Sometimes we try to avoid God because we're afraid, frustrated, stubborn, or simply don't want to do what He's asking. But Jonah reminds us that our mistakes don't make us unreachable to God.

God knows our stubborn moments. He knows when we run. And He still loves us.
