Few parenting milestones are as nerve-racking as teaching your child to drive. Sitting in the passenger seat while they take control can test every ounce of your patience and trust. Yet it's also a powerful reminder of what parenting is all about.

From the time our children are young, we teach, guide, encourage, and correct them, preparing them for the day when they'll make decisions on their own. Proverbs 22:6 reminds us to "train up a child in the way they should go." The goal of parenting has never been to keep our children dependent on us forever, but to help them grow into faithful, responsible, Christ-centered adults.
