Rabbi shares a clear definition of culture and walks through the various cultures that influence us—family, American, Jewish, congregational, and biblical.

Drawing from his own journey, he explains how receiving Yeshua and allowing the Holy Spirit to fully work in his life caused biblical culture to become the dominant influence that reshaped every other culture he was part of. God’s culture does not change (Hebrews 13:8), yet it is meant to be infused into modern culture so that we impact the world rather than escape from it. At the heart of biblical culture is sacrificial love—receiving it from Yeshua and offering it to others.

Rabbi also introduces Shoresh David’s identity, vision, mission, and key values: a Messianic Jewish community of Jews and Gentiles as the one new man, a center for the working of the Ruach HaKodesh, and a people called to love God, love our neighbor, share the good news, disciple, and develop leaders—all marked by unity in the essentials, grace in the non-essentials, and unconditional love.
