Women can do everything men can do, yes? Hell, yes. But that doesn’t mean that there are some types of exercise better suited to the female body. And vice versa. Lizzie Bland is a Bondi-based personal trainer and Pilates teacher, and the founder of Lean Bean Fitness, who has spent the better part of 10 years perfecting how to train the female body. Taking into account hormones and the effect of the menstrual cycle, her approach is not so much about what women can’t do - but when they can do it - for maximum results.
