Pityriasis Rosea is a self-limiting, post-viral rash; an important differential diagnosis is guttate psoriasis
Itch associated with Pityriasis Rosea is variable. If the rash or itch is distressing, it will respond to narrowband UV therapy
Pityriasis Versicolor comes as a winter or summer rash
Winter hyperpigmented lesions of Pityriasis Versicolor respond to oral Diflucan for a short course then monthly to prevent recurrences
Summer hypopigmented lesions of Pityriasis Versicolor will need UV exposure for pigmentation to be restored, either in sunlight or by narrowband UVB therapy
