1. Dr. FRED BUCKHOLD, SLU Care General Internist at SSM Health Saint Louis University Hospital, and a professor of medicine at St. Louis University School of Medicine.  As a general internist, Dr. Buckhold goes over what we need to know about screening tests -- what we need when and do we really need it.  Dr. Buckhold addresses testing for cardio issues, high blood pressure, cholesterol, colorectal, breast, prostate, cervical and lung cancer.
2. Dr. BAHAA ELGENDY, associate professor of anesthesiology and a medicinal chemist at Washington University School of Medicine.  Researchers at Wash U led by Dr. Elgendy are testing a new so-called exercise pill which could possibly mimic the benefits of a full workout.  What is the medicinal compound?  How does it work?  How long till it becomes a real pill for people to use?  Who would benefit from this pill?
3. Dr. ERIC LENZE, director of the Department of Psychiatry at Washington University School of Medicine -- and head of the Healthy Mind Lab there.  Wash U researchers are studying a medicinal treatment for the brain fog issues related to Long COVID.  It is fluvoxamine -- which had been used in the early stages of COVID as a treatment for acute COVID.  What are some brain-related long COVID symptoms?  How real is Long COVID?  How does Fluvoxamine work?  How many volunteers are needed?
4. Dr. FARRIN MANION, chair of the Department of Medicine at Mercy St. Louis and an infectious diseases physician.  A Crystal City woman is diagnosed with Alpha Gal syndrome — a rare tick-borne illness that causes severe allergic reactions to red meat.  What is it?  What are the symptoms? How is it treated? How can it be prevented?
