University of Hawaii president David Lassner is defending his decision to fire athletics director Craig Angelos after the termination created a firestorm of protest. In this nearly 15-minute speech before the university’s Board of Regents at a public meeting Thursday morning, Lassner lashed out at critics, but offered very little new information.
