We're following some breaking news out of Kailua, where Kalanianaole Highway was shut down in both directions this morning when two workers were injured after a cable hit them while on the roadway. Honolulu's new police chief will be David Lazar, of San Francisco, beating out the only Hawaii resident in the running, Mike Lambert, who was backed by the governor, the mayor and the police union. And a serial road rage attacker was sentenced to seven years in prison for seriously injuring two women in Kakaako.
