The 33rd Hawaii State Legislature is convening Wednesday morning to welcome new members, including Hawaii’s first female speaker of the House, and to work on a number of bills to improve the lives of Hawaii residents. Affordable housing, education, agriculture, air service to neighbor islands, fireworks regulations and Hawaiian Homes are among some of the top priorities for lawmakers this session.
