Fresh off his State of the State address, Gov. Josh Green discusses his top priorities for the 2026 legislative session. The governor covered a wide range of topics, including the proposed partnership between Hawaii Pacific Health and HMSA. Green also said he plans to support legislation to prevent federal law enforcement from covering their faces.
The governor also addressed the attorney general’s investigation into an unnamed lawmaker who allegedly took $35,000 in a paper bag. He says he does not know the identity of the lawmaker, or what may have happened. But he is pushing the attorney general to work quickly to release the results of her investigation.
