For the third straight day, a first alert weather day is in effect as a Kona Low moves through the state. More U.S. bombers are arriving in the Middle East, according to the Secretary of Defense Pete Hegseth. The mother of a man accused of slashing a Honolulu police officer's throat says he has been struggling with mental health. The state recently saw its first conviction for habitually driving without a license under newly enhanced penalties.

The Honolulu Police Department is holding a press conference about an officer involved shooting that happened last night at Halawa Housing. Because of the high winds and ongoing drought conditions, Hawaiian Electric is warning customers that it could shut off power to reduce wildfire risks. And law enforcement sources say they hope Nancy Guthrie's pacemaker can help them find the missing 84-year-old woman. 

Hawaii's Attorney General gave an update today on the state's investigation into the $35,000 bribery case involving an influential state legislator. We have been following developing news out of central Oahu, where HPD is investigating an apparent homicide in Wahiawa that happened overnight. And authorities have released the first physical description of a male suspect seen on the doorbell camera at Guthrie's home in Tucson, Arizona, the night she went missing.

New details in the search for missing Today Show host's mother Nancy Guthrie as the FBI were seen searching the Catalina Foothills in Arizona today. A 93-year-old pedestrian died after a driver hit her as she was crossing the street in a marked crosswalk with the walk signal illuminated. And the arrest of a burglary suspect in Kailua Kona also leads to charges in an assault that allegedly happened inside a woman's home. 

We have wind advisory in effect for Maui County and Hawaii Island until 6 tonight, with trade wind gusts at up to 55 miles-per-hour. Days after strong winds took a toll on their homes, some residents are scrambling to keep a roof over their heads. And a possible break in the abduction case of Nancy Guthrie, as authorities release new surveillance video and photos showing a masked person outside her Tucson home. 

Today is a First Alert Weather Day as we have a Flood Watch and High Wind Warning in effect. All state offices, public schools and U-H campuses are closed today out of an abundance of caution. And as the search for Nancy Guthrie enters its second week, authorities are seemingly no closer to identifying any suspects or persons of interest.
