On the anniversary of Hurricane Iniki, 34 years ago, Kauai is focused on stabilizing after Hurricane Lowell, while keeping a wary eye on Tropical Storm Norbert as it heads westward. Meanwhile, Friday also marks the 25th anniversary of the Sept. 11 terrorist attacks in New York City and at the Pentagon.

A 9/11 remembrance ceremony was held at Daniel K. Inouye International Airport in Honolulu this morning to honor fallen service members as hundreds of first responders and community members gathered at Koko Head in East Oahu. Today also marks 34 years since Hurricane Iniki struck Kauai. As we remember the most powerful storm to hit Hawaii in modern-day history, we're learning more about the damages from Hurricane Lowell.
