Tropical Storm Nolo is moving away from the state after a close call that brought heavy rain to Hawaii Island. Meanwhile in West Maui, a brush fire that scorched over 100 acres is nearly fully contained, prompting Hawaiian Electric to lift its public safety power shutoff. Plus, disturbing new allegations have surfaced against a former Moanalua High School wrestling coach already in federal custody on child pornography charges.

As Nolo continues to move away from the island, we're keeping an eye on another system that could be headed our way. Hurricane Nolo thankfully took a more southerly course over the weekend, sparing the state of the worst storm impacts, but the storm's outer bands still brought some heavy rains to areas of Hawaii Island. And crowds gave a warm welcome to the U.S. service members aboard the USS Frank E. Petersen Jr., as their ship pulled back into its home port of Joint Base Pearl Harbor-Hickam following 10 months of operations.

As Nolo continues to move away from the island, we're keeping an eye on another system that could be headed our way.
