Honolulu police are searching for a man who opened fire at two visitors in a Kapolei parking lot. Local outrage sparks after the Air Force plan to build up to seven more telescopes on Haleakala. With high winds expected up to 50 mph across Oahu, HECO may have to shut off power to prevent wildfires in parts of Maui and Big Island.

The Honolulu Police Department is holding a press conference about an officer involved shooting that happened last night at Halawa Housing. Because of the high winds and ongoing drought conditions, Hawaiian Electric is warning customers that it could shut off power to reduce wildfire risks. And law enforcement sources say they hope Nancy Guthrie's pacemaker can help them find the missing 84-year-old woman.
