Housing costs are creating challenges for Hawaii’s public schools as they work to recruit and retain teachers, with one Wahiawa Middle School teacher now worried he may have to leave the state if he cannot find affordable housing. Meanwhile, Hawaii Supreme Court justices questioned state and county election officials Wednesday over the handling of two improperly cast ballots in a winner-take-all Republican primary that ended in a tie.
