Break 1: KIA MOG
STORY 1: Police say a DeKalb teacher allegedly molested a 14-year-old in Gwinnett
Marcus Knight, a DeKalb County school teacher, was arrested on September 3rd for allegedly luring and sodomizing a 14-year-old child in Gwinnett County. The investigation began when the victim's mother found explicit conversations between her child and Knight. Knight faces multiple charges, including aggravated child molestation and enticing a child for indecent purposes. He was arrested after detectives posed as the child and arranged a meeting. Knight is currently held without bond, and the investigation is ongoing. Authorities are seeking additional information from the public.
STORY 2: Cross Country a Family Affair for Grayson's Snipes Family
April Snipes, a geometry teacher at Grayson High School, is in her first season as the cross country coach for the Rams, with her three daughters—seniors Abigail and Coasetta, and sophomore Serenity—on the team. Previously runners at Brookwood, the sisters now compete for their mother's school. Despite the challenges of coaching her own children, April enjoys the role and supports her daughters' running goals. The sisters have shown strong performances in recent meets, often pushing each other to improve. April emphasizes doing their best and maintaining a supportive home environment, balancing her roles as both coach and mother. The team will next compete in the Gwinnett County Championships on September 14.
STORY 3: Trump leading Harris in Georgia in latest poll
A recent Quinnipiac poll shows former President Donald Trump leading Vice President Kamala Harris in Georgia, with Trump at 49% and Harris at 45%. The poll, conducted from September 4-8, shows Trump’s lead just above the margin of error of ±3.2%. Trump is favored by men and white voters, while Harris leads among women and Black voters. Independent voters are evenly split between Trump and Harris. Georgia remains a key battleground state, with Trump previously losing the state to Joe Biden by a narrow margin in 2020.
