Kerina from Tails Humane Society was our Guest DJ. We talked all about Giving Tuesday. They are aiming to raise $30,000 for their medical fund. This fund provides lifesaving care for homeless animals. We also highlighted the Yard Sale this Saturday and Pet Photos with Santa coming up as well.

Kim from Habitat for Humanity was our Guest DJ. We talked about their latest build which is a duplex! They broke ground and will resume construction in the spring. We also highlighted year end giving and ways to get involved. Plus, we announced a save the date for their next Music Bingo Fundraiser in February.
Emily and Joni from the Genoa Kingston Christmas Craft Walk were our Guest DJs. We talked all about the history of the walk, how it started, and what to expect for it's 51st year. For three days you can visit 17 different stops throughout Genoa and Kingston and explore. You can eat, you can shop, and enjoy holiday magic. They even have a full map you can follow with all the stops listed and mapped out for you.
Kerina from Tails Humane Society was our Guest DJ. We talked about Giving Tuesday coming up. They are raising funds to cover their medical fund. This fund covers life saving surgeries, treatments, spay and neuter, vaccines, and so much more. It also helps supplement their Low Cost Spay and Neuter Clinic. They are always taking donations but especially on Giving Tuesday. You can be a part of helping keep animals safe and healthy.
Jan and Gloria from the Stage Coach Players Community Outreach Committee were our Guest DJs. They are hosting a food drive on Tuesday from 4-6pm at their location. They are helping collect Thanksgiving meals for the Salvation Army. In December, they will also have Toys for Tots Boxes, host two Angel Trees for kids and older adults, and have some fun events to highlight these. Lots of ways to get involved and help the community with them.
Heaven from the DeKalb County Mental Health Board and Ashley and Monique from the Regional Office Of Education (ROE) were our Guest DJs. We talked about what each organization provides and then dove into the McKinney-Vento Homeless Assistance Act. We also learned how ROE can help in different situations.
Jill from the Sycamore Library was our Guest DJ. We talked about some really fun events coming up including a history of Al Capone and the Worlds Fair, a Peanuts movie/craft day, the Friends of the Library holiday reception, and so much more!
Ash from DeKalb Mutual Aid was our Guest DJ. We talked all about their upcoming free Thanksgiving Dinner on November 26th from 4 - 7 pm at McCabe’s in Downtown DeKalb. Local restaurants and businesses are preparing and donating a full holiday meal, with traditional favorites and signature dishes—all made in licensed kitchens. This is open to everyone! Come as you are, enjoy a hot meal, and share in the spirit of community. They are also taking volunteers for the event as well.
Dean Dave Grewell from the NIU College of Engineering and Engineering Technology was our Guest DJ. We talked about their upcoming event “The Road to 2035: Engineering Breakthroughs Today" which is on Friday, November 14th. You can meet with the NIU Faculty, students, and industry professionals, sit in on one of their awesome panels, and help celebrate some achievements as well.

Tami from Family Service Agency was our Guest DJ. We talked all about the Makers & Bakers Holiday Market coming up on Saturday, November 15h from 10-2 at Club 55 right here in DeKalb. You can find handmade gifts, local art, delicious baked goods, and more. Enjoy festive music, carolers, a bowl of chili, and some hot chocolate while you shop. They also have a 50/50 Raffle as well.

Nate from Voluntary Action Center was our Guest DJ. We talked about the current climate of what's happening in the world and the Snap Benefits issues going on. We highlighted how VAC is helping with getting meals in peoples hands and reminded people they still need your donations to help do so!
Michael from the Rotaract Club of Sycamore was our Guest DJ. We recapped Pumpkin Fest week and all of our fundraising efforts from that. We highlighted our Adopt A Classroom program and teased the Hygiene Drive coming in the spring. We also highlighted what the group does overall.

There are just a few spots left so if you want to get some unique photos done and help benefit the museum, sign up now. We also highlighted their Christmas Celebration coming up on 12/7! This is free and open to the public. There will be live music, cookies, crafts, and the house will be fully decorated for the holidays. Xena from CASA DeKalb County was our Guest DJ today. We highlighted alot of great information including: Who is CASA? What do CASA and their volunteers do? Who can be a CASA volunteer? Anyone 24 years old or older can apply. You do not need any specific education or background to serve as a CASA Advocate. We provide all the training you need, and you work closely with an Advocate Supervisor Only takes about 10 hours a month to volunteer. You can work full-time and volunteer. A lot of the work can be done based on your own schedule. We are currently in the middle of one of our 6- week training sessions, reach out if interested in a future training! Emily from the NIU Society of Women Engineers was our Guest DJ. This is a student group that works on professional development, networking, and fellowship. They have a fundraiser going right now for discounted homecoming football tickets for next weekends game! The ticket proceeds will go toward the organization going to a conference that can help them get jobs and network with actually businesses in their field.
Cortney and Savannah from the NIU Homecoming Committee were our Guest DJs. We announced the winners of the annual coloring contest and we highlighted the events of the night! There will be food trucks, a car show, a community stage, the march of the Huskies, and a pep rally. Plus an awesome fun zone for kids and families, including a zipline!
