F1 headed to China this weekend, bringing us our first sprint race weekend of the season, two race cancellations for April, and Kimi Antonelli's first Grand Prix victory. Off track, Esteban Ocon released his pre-race playlist, and F1 the Movie took home an Academy Award. And, F1 Academy returned to the grid for their season start.
New regulations continue to cause reliability issues, with only 15 out of 22 cars crossing the finish line. McLaren didn't start the race, Williams and Aston Martin continue to have problems, and Max Verstappen was forced to retire the car.
For our main story, we're breaking down the inherent issue in having two championships: one team championship in the Constructors Championship, and one individual fight in the World Driver's Championship. As we saw with Lewis Hamilton and Charles Leclerc, battling between teammates is to be expected, but it also opens the team up to losing points in Constructors. And, as Kimi Antonelli becomes more competitive, we may see the same kind of on track behavior pick up at Mercedes.
Buckle up as we break down the Chinese Grand Prix!
