Kaplan, an experienced Equine rider and trainer, is one of only 40 equestrians to compete in the 2024 Gaucho Derby in El Calafate, Patagonia, Argentina. 

The 3rd annual Gaucho Derby is a multi-horse endurance race on unmarked trails using only Garmin tracking through fields, bogs, and rocky mountains.
