Tomorrow the 15th they are hosting a Guest Bartending event at the 33 Room in Peoria Heights from 4:30 - 8:30 pm. The event will feature many celebrities of the Peoria area, from WEEK News 25 Anchors, Peggy Maloof, Mike Vespa, and many more. All proceeds go to benefit the Walk to End Alzheimer’s.

Guest Bartending Event at 33 Room for Alzheimer's

This morning on The Greg and Dan Show, we spoke to Sheldon Schaefer about Rank Choice Voting.



Sheldon was a long-time educator teaching at Bradley University. Today, Sheldon is helping to promote the rank choice voting system in the state of Illinois. In this interview, he describes all the details and intricacies of the system, the states that already have this system in action, such as Georgia and Alaska, and the benefits of implementing a new system like this.



Next Tuesday at 5:30 pm at the Peoria Heights Library. There will be a forum to explain rank choice voting and answer questions that are completely open to the public. There will be a speaker from FairVote Illinois and representatives League of Women Voters of Greater Peoria and Peoria Green.

Today on the Greg and Dan Show we gave Tazewell County Clerk & Recorder of Deeds Mr. John Ackerman a call to talk about new reports about election interference.



Just yesterday, the Department of Justice stated that both Iran and Russia were actively making efforts to interfere with American Elections. Mr. Ackerman came to provide information to our listeners to better understand what that interference actually entails. Right now this interference consists of spreading misinformation in order to sow discourse by preying on Americans not sourcing and properly vetting their sources of information.
