CHASING THE WIND

Episode 5: I Tried Pleasure

What Happens When You Finally Get Everything You Want?

Q doesn't condemn pleasure. He does something far more interesting. He gives pleasure everything it asks for—and watches what happens.

Let's conduct a highly scientific experiment.

Tomorrow morning you wake up and discover that you have...

$500 million.

After taxes.

We're not monsters.

Then start dreaming.

Mortgage?

Gone.

Student loans?

Gone.

That kitchen you've been talking about for eleven years?

Demolish it.

Build another kitchen where the kitchen used to be.

Hate your job?

Here's a fun sentence:

“I quit.”

Travel.

Food.

House.

Cars.

Cabin.

Beach.

Whatever you want.

Then:

Here's my question.

Would you finally be happy?

Don't give me the Sunday-school answer.

Think about it.

Because most of us have quietly entertained some version of:

If I just had enough _____, everything would be okay.

Fortunately, someone has already conducted this experiment for us.

His name is Qohelet.

And unlike you... he actually had the $500 million.

We will see what you think.

And now, it’s your turn…

Dr. Bill's passion is to proclaim God's love for the unlovable. We want to help beat-up, frustrated and weary Christians hear the music again. We can do this. Just grab a cup of joe, sit back, enjoy, follow, leave a review and enter into the dialogue. Bill@gospel-app.com.
