This week we are taking listener questions.

Today’s question: Recently my fiance broke up with me and I am feeling lost. We still live together, we still share the same friends, she still corresponds with my family but we are very much broken up. What signals should I receive that she is open to reconciliation?

Answer: This differs depending on the situation and the people involved. The people that truly are taking a break, they are generally fair and communicate their desires. There should be very clear communication and very clear guidelines. It is also a definite clarity that has to be articulated as to what is expected. It is not fair for the person taking a break to remain unclear about their intentions. They also must be respectful of your feelings. 

The signs that they may be open to reconciliation is that they are trying to maintain health in the relationship. They will have to let you in as to what they need for you to reconcile the relationship.

You also have to focus on you. You may not be able to make the decision you can decide what you want to do.

You have three options, accept it as it is, try and change things or decide you don't accept it and quit. Think about what is reasonable to you?
