A new competitive walleyes league is kicking off this summer in the Detroit Lakes, Minnesota area.  The new "412 Walleye League" is the dream of area bait and tackle store owner Mike Witt of Witt's Quality Bait & Tackle in Detroit Lakes.  Mike shares how this idea came together and what it will be like for the 25 teams who participate in the inaugural season.

The Minnesota DNR in numerous locations throughout the state are in the midst of their spring egg harvest.  This is the time that they strip eggs and fertilize them to be brought to the hatcheries for rearing and later stocking into Minnesota waters.  Jim Wolters, Area Supervisor for the Minnesota DNR shares a report on how this year's efforts are progressing.
