Roger Maris All-Star week begins Monday and goes through Friday, which is a big reason why the Roger Maris Celebrity Golf Tournament is in its 42nd year. A partnership with Sanford Health five years ago changed the direction of the event that is more about the success of the Maris Cancer Center than drives and putts. Roger Maris Jr. and Joel Vettel of Sanford are back for another year of golf radio commentary.

Fargo Davies graduate Rose Solberg is less than half the age of the Maris tourney. The reigning North Dakota Miss Golf was a varsity player since seventh grade and is heading to the University of Minnesota this fall.

It's a transition week of sorts with high school golf coming to a close and the summer amateur and junior season starting in full force. Chris Geiss, the executive director of the Dakota Junior Golf Association, is back for another show of hot junior golf topics, including Mr. and Ms. Golf North Dakota.

Another hot topic: Fargo Oak Grove's third straight Class B state championship, with head coach Dan Martinson outlining the program.
