Five days in to Spring and the Gold Coast and Hinterland is already on fire watch.

With fires and smoke around Canungra and Hinterland, residents are being told to be aware of what's happening and what's to come.

Representing the Queensland Fire and Emergency Services, Assistant Commissioner, John Bolger joins Bridge and Spida with an update and advice on what to do during high fire warnings. He joins them again Friday when temperatures are expected to rise.
