Our adopted border collie Bullet suffered abuse as a puppy. He fears many situations even mealtime. He approaches the utility room—the food bowl awaits. He eats a few morsels of the kibble trail leading to his bowl but retreats to his so-called safe place. Then, drawn by hunger, he tries again. Coaxing finally helps. “Come on Bullet, you can do it!” He finished, pleased by his accomplishment.
As Hebrews 12:2 says, “Let us fix our eyes on Jesus.”
Maybe we need to focus on Jesus, overcome our fear so we can accomplish His goals?
I Pawnder, How does God’s gentle voice coax us? What fears keep us hiding in our perceived safe place?
