Belle, the black lab, loved a good nap—at any hour and in all conditions. She even managed to nap through thunderstorms. I’ve been told dogs prefer naps. Some sleep up to 18 hours a day. Naps gave Belle the energy to jump up and fetch or take long runs.
Rest means “to cease from action or motion.” Our world demands constant attention…or does it? Rest also means “to be free from anxiety or disturbance.”
God tells us He “rested” on the seventh day. What are the benefits?
Jesus said, “Come to me all who are weary and burdened, you will find rest for your souls.”
