The reverberations of the Israel-Hamas conflict continue to be felt across the Middle East, spreading from Gaza to Yemen, Lebanon, Syria, Iraq, Iran and Pakistan with tensions escalating in the region. 

Since November 2023, the Yemen-based rebel group Houthi has been attacking and threatening commercial ships in the Red Sea. These military threats have resulted in a 40% reduction in shipping through the Suez Canal, a vital global waterway, over the last two months.
