Connection, self-regulation and tears can all help kids process and deal with their feelings of fear and anxiety. There are many things adults can do to increase connection and reduce the state of fear in the child. Normalizing and validating their feelings, understanding your own fears and anxieties and modeling coping skills are only some of the ways we can help our kids deal with their own day to day fears and anxieties.
