How can I raise my 6-month-old infant to a 3-year-old toddler without using a screen as a babysitter? That is away from the smartphone, iPad, tablet, computer  or TV screen ?? How can I encourage “independent play” so that he or she learns to play on their own without depending on a screen?

As Asian Indian parents irrespective of what part of the world we live in, we parent in the "context of our culture" (which is diverse in itself depending on what part of India/world you grew up in). However, our 'overarching goal for parenting' is the same!  " To raise self-reliant, respectful, compassionate human beings who are happy and satisfied with life".
