Defensive lineman Dexter Lawrence speaks to the media Thursday ahead of the team's Week 10 matchup against the Panthers in Munich.
What are these trips like for you?
You're looking forward to I'm looking forward to it. Uh, just a business trip for real, just playing in a different country and at the end of the day, still playing football and doing what I love. So I'm looking forward.
What do you take from the London trip in terms of catching up on the rest of the time difference and you guys had success there, what do you take from that we carry into this Germany trip.
Uh, I don't know. I don't get in too much into that. I just try to keep my routine the same end of the day. It's still the same time of the day, so you try to go about it that way. And we not there long, so I don't think the jet lag was sit in too much honestly. Anything.
You're looking forward to Mosch, about seeing Munich in Germany someplaces.
Probably just eating, trying some different foods. I'm big into food, so we looking do some research when I get on the plane. Let's see who I can go eat? Little Octoberfest type Yeah, yeah, I don't know. I gotta do my research.
What do you see from Carolina's offense? Brace Young is going to be back at the starting quarterback.
What do you think he's a little savvy guy. Uh, we gotta make sure we don't give him a lot of space so he can make make good great fastest. The running backs running very hard, I know. I guess one of them just got extension. Congrats. And the old line are big guys, and I like to get physical, so I'm excited for the matchup.
Whenever you guys, I'm sorry, I'm late coming over Dexon. There's always a lot made of these international games, the turf being difficult to play on you. I don't know if you experienced that in London, Do you, guys, any any concern.
I got it. I got a real bad turf burn out there. So that's about the experience. I got.
Concerned about footing it or anything in this.
Game, just turf burns.
What we talked about this opportunity for you guys feeling, does it feel any different than this opportunity in terms of like, they're our team that's very in a very similar position to you guys.
I honestly believe they are protein and they all here for a reason, you know what I mean. They could be going through the same struggles that we go through. So I think, well, whoever you play, gott take a serious and you can get beat on any day. So I think we gotta go out there with a great approach. I think we had a good week this week of practice, like always, and you gotta go out there and dominate.
From a defensive standpoint, you're not supposed to get interceptions. But why do you think this defense has done eight trade games without an interception? And it doesn't really make a lot of sense to me, decks because like people always tell me, pass, rush and secondary go hand in hand.
Will you guys leave the league in sacks? So shouldn't that be forcing quarterbacks into interceptions?
Uh, they're just throwing good balls and we're not getting to them. And that's the best way I can answer that.
I mean, turnovers through such a big part of what you guys did last your Do you feel like creating more would kind of flip the script.
I think we need to create more, you know, to to play good, to play the offense, have a short field and not worry about driving a long field. And you know it's our responsibility to go get the ball. So that's what we got to do. How much do you guys.
Feel kind of like a sense of urgency to get a win before the buye at this point in the season.
Uh me personally huge. You don't want to go that long without being able to play another football game after a loss. So you know you gotta give it your all this week, and you know it's basically a one game season pretty much, and you gotta go out there and play your hardest
