Sam and Ella kick off with a pop culture update covering Jay Z confirmed for the Super Bowl, paper declaration cards being phased out of airlines, AFLW players getting their names on their backs and Ryan Gosling releasing new music.

Midweek confessions hit close to home. Ella forgot Sam’s birthday and he had to sit through the happy birthday song anyway.

The ACOTAR launch sparks a debate about whether they’re late night or early morning people before Sam’s housemate moving out leads into a conversation about what you’d miss most if someone you lived with suddenly left.

Lily Allen performing in Melbourne raises the question of what story in your life deserves an hour long performance at Rod Laver Arena, Frank Ocean’s birthday opens up a conversation about hidden talents and International Animation Day has the pair debating cartoon food they’ve always wanted to try before Sam gets Ella to blind rank some animated icons.
